420 hectare playing field
Adlershof con.vent. regards itself as much more than a just an event organiser
More than 1,000 companies. Home of world respected top research. Attraction for 10,000 visitors each year from across the world. Location for pioneers who launched the first test flights here and now found technology start-ups. All of this is Adlershof. The rich history, the vibrant here and now and in many places the very tangible future of the site are almost beyond the grasp of visitors. That is, unless they trust in the creativity and expertise of Adlershof con.vent.
“Our playing field covers 420 hectares. We can use it in many different ways and have keys to places that no-one else can get to”, says Linda Jentsch of Adlershof con.vent. Jentsch and a team direct the action when international business delegations visit Germany’s largest technology and science park or companies and institutes hold their conferences, roadshows, trade fairs, receptions or innovation days here. “The main attraction is that, depending on the event, we put together individual accompanying programmes to form an unforgettable highlight”, she explains.
The con.vent. team takes visitors away into the exciting world of science, technology and media, to show them behind the scenes and let them exchange ideas with experts on the future. Visitors immerse themselves in the eventful history of Adlershof as the cradle of early motorised aviation, as the well-known silent film location, as the research and television centre of the GDR as well as in the present dynamic activities of company founders.
Visitors can discover Adlershof on 14 different tours that can be supplemented by additional programme modules, such as company visits. “We want to fill our visitors to Adlershof with enthusiasm, we want them to be our ambassadors”, stresses Josephin Kluge, Head of Visitor Services. They are to report back to colleagues and friends and come back again. Or in a perfect scenario, be so inspired by the location that they consider moving here.
By request, the con.vent. team organises visits to companies and institutes, arranges contacts with researchers and gains access for visitors to the Adlershof’s lively networks. “Of course, we know the companies on site very well and so we know who to contact for which subject”, explains Jentsch.
Con.vent. regards itself as much more than a just an event organiser. Its motivation is to make Adlershof a tangible experience in its many different dimensions. To tell the world that Adlershof is the driving force behind Berlin’s economic development, the successful model for cooperation between science and industry, the dynamic media location and urban city district in constant change.
Adlershof con.vent. Event organisers that can lend their full attention to their visitors. Conference centre in Bauhaus style? Event location with industrial charm? From catering, via lighting, technology and decoration through to transfers, the con.vent. team creates tailor-made events. As according to Jentsch: “Adlershof is like playing a home game for us. It is our 420 hectare playing field. Even when there are last minute changes, we always have a Plan B – places, stories or personalities that visitors will not forgetin a hurry.”
