Projects for the Future
WISTA is facing up to the Grand Challenges at all its locations in and outside Berlin. The Innovation team places particular emphasis on the topics of energy, mobility and digitisation. In order to sustainably develop the technology and innovation centres at our future locations in Berlin and Brandenburg, we have long focused on energy- and cost-efficient building operation. Below, we provide an insight into our most important current projects.
Furthermore, you can find the entire history of our work on energy efficiency in recent years on the page “Completed energy projects” (only in German).
Mobility

Micromobility and shared mobility
The Adlershof Technology Park is growing steadily and with it the number of people at the site. This results in an increased demand for mobility and strain on the infrastructure. Micro and shared mobility solutions help supplementing public and private transport.
Efficiency

Web-based single-room control
In order to reduce costs and increase comfort in the offices, heat consumption at WISTA's main building in Adlershof is being reduced by introducing a web-based single-room control system. This enables efficient monitoring and individual control of room temperatures, resulting in energy savings.
Digitisation

Digital Twin
As a technology and business hub, the Adlershof Technology Park is aware of its pioneering role and its energy intensity. Therefore, a primary objective is developing tools with partners to achieve climate neutrality as quickly as possible. One of these tools is the “Digital Twin”, which is used to record and display energy and environmental data from the buildings in near real time.
