Dr. Bernd Ludwig Head of Center for Photonics and Optics and Center for Photovoltaics
"The new building is WISTA-MANAGEMENT GMBH's way of responding to the rising demand among companies looking for cost-effective, optimum working conditions", explains Bernd Ludwig, head of the ZPV. The modern production facility, laboratory and office building covering a rentable area of around 8,000 m² is tailored to meet the needs of companies from the photovoltaics/renewable energies segment. A wide PV system above the glass entrance area on the south side of the building will send a signal, visible even from the distance, that this is a location which is not only working on the future of energy supply, but is already putting these ideas into practice. This will be highlighted by an accreditation for the building given by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), who will award a "mixed use type" certification as part of a pilot initiative.
