Japanese electronics group chooses energy supply solution from Heliocentris
Roll-out underway for largest mobile network provider in Myanmar
Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG (ISIN DE000A1MMHE3), which is listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, has again received a major order in Asia and is announcing the roll-out to supply and install further turnkey hybrid power solutions for the expansion of 152 new telecommunication base stations in Myanmar. Myanmar was one of the company's main sales drivers last year and represents a significant growth market. Currently more than 800 telecommunication base stations in Myanmar are powered and remotely monitored by energy management systems from Heliocentris.
As a result of this success, a Japanese electronics corporation has now commissioned Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG to supply the mobile network operators Myanmar Post and Telecommunication (MPT) with turnkey energy systems for 152 telecommunication base stations. The state-owned MPT is the leading and largest telecommunications company in Myanmar. The blanket order received to equip 152 telecommunication base stations has a total volume of around EUR 6 million, which are expected to impact on sales revenue in 2015.
Ayad Abul-Ella, CEO of Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG, commented: "This contract is a considerable success for Heliocentris in two respects. Firstly the order highlights a world corporation's trust in the robustness of the Heliocentris solutions and the efficiency of our service organization in Asia. Secondly, our solutions are now also used at MPT alongside Telenor. Thus only the mobile operator Ooredoo is missing, to have won all suppliers operating in Myanmar."
Rainer Grumann, General Manager for the Asia Pacific region at Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG adds: "We are delighted by this order and see it as the next step after our major success in 2014, giving us the chance to keep on writing the Heliocentris success story. The installation of energy solutions for mobile base stations in Myanmar is a highly demanding and challenging task on account of the country's particular topography and infrastructure. We have now built up an excellent reputation as one of the leading providers of hybrid energy supply solutions in this region. "Made in Germany" has become the benchmark and is in demand in Myanmar."
