Winds of change at lesswire
Adlershof-based IT company with strategic realignment
The year 2015 is proving to be a time of change and transformation for the Berlin-based company lesswire GmbH. After the successful sale of its wireless module division at the start of the year and its change of legal form, along with the appointment of a new management team, the company is now concentrating on its systems business. The basis for this is a telemetry platform developed in-house, which is in turn based on the current LTE-compatible router and media server. This modular approach is now offering lesswire an opportunity to react quickly and flexibly to customer desires for mobile high-speed data transfer.
Given the dynamic development of the Internet of Things and M2M communications, greater attention is being paid to the transport (V2x), medical, industrial and agricultural sectors. This is a sustainable new direction for lesswire, and it complements the company's established core business in mobile routers and gateways for building automation.
lesswire is reinforcing its expertise with an additional development facility in the German city of Freiburg, as part of its optimised efforts to meet growing customer needs, particularly in the area of contract engineering.
